Talkin' with Tewks Live: MLB Preview

I hope everyone has recovered from the orgiastic chocolate feast known as Easter. I have a horrible sugar hangover right now. This weekend was the first time in 2010 that I've eaten any semblance of sweets and I am paying for it right now.

But enough about me. Today is Opening Day of the 2010 Major League Baseball season. To mark such a terrific occasion, I, along with two jerks well-known to this blog, recorded a MLB preview podcast.

There is also a surprise at the beginning of the recording that is evidence of my newfound technical prowess.

Talkin' with Tewks Live - MLB Preview

Enjoy.

These Podcasts suck.

Hope you aren't planning a career doing these.

Live play by play of my first Talkin with Tewks podcast.

0:01 - wow, cocky tone to his voice. - gotta sound tough in a room full of men.
0:03 - yikes, this music is uber gay.
0:49 - menage a tois - with 3 men, exactly what i shoulda expected.
1:43 - 104 wins - 'gretzbo' - haha, if you're gonna make up a number, make it legit at like 120
3:05 - Under 71? that implies a 70-92 record or worse. huh, the more i think of it, over under 71 seems about right.
7:20 - we've been waiting since 1993......never been alive, jays fans, when they last won a world series. - did you mean jays fans? or girls that you've slept with/tried to sleep with?
9:38 - how many games will a starter start? 35 - 37...well he should win around 40 then. I like this math. What year were you born in (said to cutie at the bar), 1994? so you're 21?
12:30 - maybe he's babe ruth reincarnated...silence. everyone laughs. who is this clown? Tewks could out hit Halladay. And like Tewks himself said, he can't even hit a lob ball.
16:33 - called up some ringers - this implies that you're a vast improvement over current members. Therefore this is a misuse of the term 'ringer'.
18:20 - battling 'two' people. this was actually kinda funny. - as a joke.
18:30 - a 'fair' fight? Tewks, are these the kind of results all of your clients can expect?

shit...the more I think about it, over under 71 is a disgusting number. Why is vegas so good? Going under is an awefully scarry bet, but looking at those pitchers, and the batting order, i just don't see many wins. I think it's gonna be very close, but I believe I must concur, under is the prudent choice.

all in all, mildly entertaining. I'll throw a solid B- out there. If i hadn't heard that tidbit about Khali Green, I mighta been persuaded to toss a B+, but that was at least the equivalent of a 2 run throwing error.

That is too funny. I like how you turned his "reality" TV shtick on him.

I don't listen to the podcast, but enjoyed your review.
