Talkin' with Tewks Live: Survivor Finale

(BOD - Kate Beckinsale)

As promised, here is a podcast covering the season finale of Survivor 20. You may notice that someone is conspicuously absent from the recording. That is because he was too busy watching Les Habitants get pumped by Philly last night and is probably still wallowing in self-pity.

Talkin' with Tewks Live - Survivor Finale

Enjoy.

I thought it was really interesting at the reunion show to see things from Colby's perspective in that he missed the adventure of it, the thrill of the game. It made me sad.

I wonder why they weren't allowed off the camp?

That blindfolded maze challenge was awesome! I SO wanted Jerri to win...f'ing Russell!

I have to say, I am thrilled with how things played out and how that little troll got so angry at the final tribal counsel. Really, you stupid little man, you think that you should win the entire game by being an asshole?! Really?! He is a horrible little man! SO happy that anyone but Russell won!

and it's Par-va-ti, not poverty!

Bring on the Bachelorette!!

Wow, what a terrible podcast. I guess we know who’s been raising the quality previously.

Before I get into my Habs-related defense, a quick detour. How hot is Kate Beckinsale? 36 years old...wow.

Admittedly, I don’t have a tonne to say. What a stink-bomb last night. But I cannot stand the overreactions and large-scale generalizations from the media. Jaroslav Halak was “chased” from a game in each of the first two rounds as well. Game 1 in Pittsburgh was a virtual carbon copy of this one, with the only difference being that the Habs fired in a few meaningless goals.

Two weeks ago, everyone (including you, Tewks) was telling me: “Sure, they got by Washington, but Pittsburgh’s a different type of team. Playoff proven, lots of hard-nosed Canadians willing to do whatever it takes to win.” (How’d that turn out?)

After last night: “Sure, they got through Washington and Pittsburgh, but the Flyers play a different brand of hockey. They can’t stand up to the size and physicality.” Well, we’re just gonna have to wait and see. Anyone, however, who tells me that the Canadiens have no chance because they’re playing a superior opponent is a moron. By no means am I guaranteeing that we’ll win this series, but if we lose, it won’t be because Philadelphia is better than Washington and Pittsburgh.

Am I happy with how we played last night? Of course not, but in the immortally paraphrased words of Bill Simmons: “Let’s not start sucking each others’ popsicles just yet.”
